TL;DR — Graph Office Hours #275 (Sept 15)
(Heads up: audio partially failed - live audio only from ~13 min; first half was re-narrated by BK.)
“Chain integration week”:
- E&N chain deals formally handed to the Foundation (BK + Ørjan leading), contracts finalizing, done by end of month
- Anubis joins the subgraph network - live since April, ~$700–800M TVL, AI/agentic + DeFi focus; backstop indexing by InfraDAO, Foundation handles GTM. New chain-integration docs page coming
- 3 new extended-blocks chains announced Wed/Thu/Fri this week (unnamed on the call)
- Two blogs incoming: chain integrations under the new mandate (subgraphs vs substreams delineation, DIPS impact), then an extended-blocks explainer Friday
Studio/Explorer plans:
- Phased offload of upgrade-indexer subgraphs to the network — first the ones already well-supported + highest query volume; Samuel leading the research (with Ørjan, Carlos), and they’ll try to publish the list of subgraphs in advance so indexers can pre-sync (Marc-André’s suggestion, accepted)
- Pricing overhaul confirmed: moving away from pay-as-you-go; free plan likely changes; query AND indexing pricing both under review (“indexing is basically free via studio” today). Nothing final; transition ~1–1.5 months out, no changes for at least a few weeks
- Studio + Explorer to merge into one consolidated app (“Graph Studio”-ish), with more services added. No timeline yet
REO update (Ørjan):
- 43 indexers still haven’t qualified since launch — expected to exit the network, freeing those rewards; ~8 indexers improved QoS to become eligible
- Full REO roadmap being drafted this week, presented next week (timeline + criteria steps)
- Marc-André’s suggestion accepted as possible future criteria: responding to status requests / open endpoints for logs & POI comparison
DIPS: work kicked off in earnest last week (new protocol team + Ørjan + Pedro). Internal target: end of November, coupled to the Studio UX changes.
Liquid staking: still private beta; Phase 2 slipped to end of September (was “mid-month” last week). Access via vault@ email.
ETH Online: 1,400 hackers → 354 submissions across the 3 tracks; judging done today, winners announced ~midday tomorrow via ETH Global + X threads.
