Council members value transparency and have agreed to follow Chatham House Rules for sharing meeting notes. On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, The Graph Council held its 20th meeting.

### Grant Discussions

The Members reviewed a potential grant of a team presenting a proposal for protocol R&D, network services and ecosystem support. The Members agreed to proceed with evaluating details of the grant proposal.

The Members reviewed another proposal for a grant expanding the front-end use case for the protocol and also agreed to proceed with evaluating details of that proposal.

### Governance & GIPs

The Council has approved GIPs [0018](https://forum.thegraph.com/t/gip-0018-subgraph-ownership-transfer/2589) and [0019](https://forum.thegraph.com/t/gip-0019-save-gas-when-initializing-a-subgraph-deployment/2590) via Council Snapshot Voting. GIP-0019 has since been executed on 12/15/21, while GIP-0018 is targeted to be implemented early 2022.

### Council Structure

The Members deferred discussions on the topic of expanding community representation at the Council to the next Council meeting to allow for more feedback to be gathered from different stakeholders in the ecosystem.
