Studio to Network migration
The BSC and Polygon migration from Subgraph Studio to The Graph Network is nearly done:
- Fewer than 78 Subgraphs remain in Studio, out of the original 860+ BSC and Polygon Subgraphs.
- No major issues were reported during this migration.
- The Upgrade Indexer’s scope dropped from 3,417 allocations to 1,723 allocations.
Studio-only Subgraphs: publish to the Network, set up billing and an API key in Studio, and switch to a Gateway endpoint. Announcement: Bringing Subgraph Studio Traffic to The Graph Network | Blog | The Graph
ENSv2 Subgraph
ENS moves to ENSv2 today. Hundreds of users are affected by this change.
Indexers: sync the ENSv2 Subgraph staging version that is published now: ENSv2 Staging Ethereum | Graph Explorer
What happens at cutover: new .eth registrations on v1 freeze for a few hours while a final sync runs. Then registration and resolution move to v2.
- New registry design: each name can have its own registry and resolver, and roles replace Name Wrapper fuses.
- Apps that read ENS data: update to a supported library and resolve through the Universal Resolver. Existing .eth names keep resolving and renewing, and owners have no deadline to migrate.

Substreams v0.8.0
Substreams 0.8.0 moves Rust protobuf bindings from prost to buffa. Blocks decode 2.9x to 4.9x faster depending on the chain, and backfills finish up to 2.9x faster. Nothing changes downstream, and the upgrade is opt-in. It requires Substreams CLI v1.25.0 or later.

Canonical Product Releases
- Subgraph Studio v1.6.0: adds ENS v2 support, built on the stable Components releases. https://github.com/graphprotocol/subgraph-studio/releases/tag/v1.6.0
- Graph Explorer v1.2.0: adds ENS v2 support. Delegation gets slippage protection and no longer allows delegating into unhealthy pools. Explorer also moves to the graphprotocol component packages. https://github.com/graphprotocol/graph-explorer-x/releases/tag/v1.2.0
- Docs v2.1.10: Supported Networks pages now read support details from the networks registry. Deprecated networks are removed and their pages redirect to /supported-networks/. Subgraphs pages walk through the Studio UI with a five-step Quick Start. Release v2.1.10 · graphprotocol/docs · GitHub
Rewards Eligibility Oracle
The latest REO update takes effect today, October 27. The Daily Query Requirement rises from 5 to 10 qualifying Subgraphs. All other criteria stay the same:
- Active for 5+ days in a 28-day period.
- A qualifying query returns HTTP 200, responds in under 5,000 ms, and is less than 50,000 blocks behind chainhead.
Every change gets about 14 days of notice, and Indexers who already qualify finish their current period. Dashboard: https://reo.thegraph.com/
Ongoing Foundation initiatives
- Multi-Gateway Plan: an internal Foundation proposal, in progress before it goes to The Graph Council for review.
- Subgraph Studio pricing: an internal Foundation proposal, in progress before any changes roll out to users.
- Liquid Staking: holding in Phase 1, a small soft launch. Phase 2 brings UI updates and a new liquid staking partner. Informational only, not financial advice.
