Introducing New Council Member: Jonathan Alexander

The Graph Foundation is pleased to welcome Jonathan Alexander as the newest member of The Graph Council. Jonathan brings over two decades of experience in software engineering, infrastructure leadership, and web3 innovation. He has already begun actively participating in protocol discussions and GIPs, and his perspective will be instrumental as The Graph scales and shapes the future of decentralized data.

Jonathan is Chief Technology Officer at OpenZeppelin, the recognized leader in open source libraries, tools, and security, where he leads research and development. He is also co-founder and council member of Forta, focused on blockchain network security. Prior to this, he was CTO during the growth of two highly successful SaaS startups, Tricentis and Vocalocity (now Vonage Business). Jonathan studied Computer Science at UCLA and brings a strong technical foundation to his leadership roles.

As The Graph continues to push the boundaries of technical innovation and network adoption, robust governance remains essential to its long-term resilience. The Graph Council plays a critical role in stewarding protocol upgrades, treasury oversight, and maintaining overall network health. Designed to prioritize decentralization and stakeholder representation, the Council ensures decisions are informed by a broad spectrum of expertise across the ecosystem.

With his deep technical expertise and proven ability to scale high-impact platforms, Jonathan’s addition to The Graph Council strengthens our mission to support a more secure, decentralized, and data-rich future.
