Summary
Messari recently addressed potential security risks in subgraph management by adopting multisig wallets. After successfully piloting a multisig setup for new subgraphs, the company plans to extend this approach to existing ones.
On the marketing front, Messari has reached its 200-subgraph milestone and is collaborating with The Graph’s marketing team to celebrate this accomplishment through a series of upcoming posts. Concurrently, the Q4 2024 State of The Graph report is in production, with a targeted release later in February. Messari is also partnering with Edge & Node to explore research topics in the DePIN sector, Solana, and Base/Solana meme subgraphs.
In parallel, Messari is prototyping a Nozzle-based subgraph designed to handle simple GraphQL requests via a remote Nozzle and return JSON results.
Looking back (what was delivered)
Up Levelling Security Best Practices
During our most recent infosec review, we identified potential security risks in the way subgraphs are managed and maintained. In response, Messari has adopted multisig wallets to manage subgraphs more securely. We have piloted a multisig wallet for all new subgraphs and plan to migrate existing ones to this new setup in the near future.
Co-marketing Celebration
Now that Messari has reached its 200-subgraph milestone, we are collaborating with The Graph’s marketing team to celebrate this achievement. A series of posts highlighting this accomplishment will be released throughout the coming week.
Meanwhile, production of the Q4 2024 State of The Graph report is underway and is expected to be published later in February. You can review last quarter’s report here: State of the Graph Q3 2024.
Finally, Messari is partnering with Edge & Node to conduct research on DePIN sector topics, Solana, and to support Base/Solana meme subgraphs.
Nozzle-Based Subgraph Pilot
Messari is developing a Nozzle-based subgraph prototype that will serve as a functional framework for handling simple (non-nested) GraphQL requests via a remote Nozzle and returning JSON-formatted results.
Subgraphs Shipped
Messari has completed shipping a subgraph for the following chain: fx-protocol

Other notes
Looking ahead, as cutting-edge protocols continue to emerge in the crypto market, we remain committed to supporting additional subgraphs beyond our original 200-target milestone. Meanwhile, we aim to conclude our experimentation with the Nozzle-based subgraph to assess the feasibility of leveraging Nozzle for analytics-driven subgraph use cases.
