Meeting

New Council Member

The Council welcomed Sebastian Siemssen as a new Member to the Council. Sebastian has been engaged in the Graph ecosystem since 2018 and has been selected for both his deep understanding of the protocol as well as for his experience gained as a user of the Graph protocol, which strengthens a critical voice in the Council representing the consumer segment. A Forum post will be created shortly that will introduce Sebastian to the community providing more background on his acumen.

Governance & GIPs

One Foundation member presented a review of GIPs 0018 and 0019. Both of these GIPs have been audited and received broad positive feedback in the community. They will soon be set up for Snapshot Council voting.

Ops Funding & Diversification

One Foundation member presented a proposal on the long-term strategy to support sustainable operations and grant funding, including a component that enables to further diversify and decentralize ownership stake. The Members agreed on the general approach and to progress with working out details of the proposal.

Grant Discussions

One Foundation member provided an update on a grant initiative aimed to support Ethereum public goods. The discussions have reached an agreement with the grantee and the Council unanimously agreed to proceed with the grant.

Council Structure

The Members deferred discussions on the topic of expanding community representation at the Council to the next Council meeting to allow for more feedback to be gathered from different stakeholders in the ecosystem.
