December was a productive month to close out 2024 at Edge & Node. The team continued to advance Network adoption, developer engagement, and technical innovation. Milestones included the release of new website pages, significant progress in protocol economics evolution, and the seamless upgrade to the Indexer Service Rust. Concerted efforts in the Business Development team yielded key customer wins and ongoing partnerships, with a focus on onboarding new tier-one dApps and expanding support in Asia. Marketing initiatives celebrated The Graph Network’s fourth birthday while driving overall awareness via co-marketing efforts and newsletter subscription options on the website. Developer Relations made strides with educational content, onboarding tools, and workshops. The House of Web3 hosted a range of community-building events to close the year on a high note. Engineering Highlights
- We launched a new landing page, non-technical user onboarding page, and delegation page to enhance the user experience:
- Advanced protocol economics with the publication of the next-stage evolution GIP, contextualized in this forum post.
- Published GIP-0081 for indexing payments (DIPs).
- While providing industry-leading urgent support across Slack, Discord, and 500+ unique Telegram chats, we also achieved a milestone in resolving over 1,000 tickets for non-urgent issues via Zendesk since Sunrise.
- Completed a smooth transition of Indexer Service from Typescript to Rust.
Business Development
- High-profile projects like 1inch, Cronos, and CoW Swap joined the Network.
- Integrated Sonic for faster adoption of Fantom V2, an exciting development for top-tier users.
- Significant traction in Asia: launched a key opinion leader (KOL) video in Korea, hosted multiple events in Japan, and entered the late stages of a key chain integration discussion.
Marketing
- Celebrated The Graph’s 4th birthday with promotional events, co-marketing campaigns, and three birthday parties around the world.
- Closed the year strong with 120 co-marketing initiatives in total, surpassing 2023 by 35!
- Delivered the DePIN blog post to show how global indexing is replacing centralized providers.
Developer Relations
- Built a fully decentralized Graph developer onboarding system, currently comprised of four missions to teach and test the ability to write both smart contracts and subgraphs.
- Secured notable representation at upcoming ETHTaipei with six presentation slots in talks, panels, and workshops.
- Substantially grew the Graph Builders newsletter from 500 to 2000 subscribers, bolstered by an opt-in checkbox on the site.
House of Web3
- Hosted 16 successful events, including The Graph’s birthday celebrations and Crypto Underground.
- Launched a referral program to boost membership and engagement.
- Implemented scheduling, Substreams education, and more interactivity at The Graph Labs.
