Executive Summary
2025 continues with advances to the depth of user experience and the breadth of available offerings. The Graph’s increasing adoption took us past 11,111 subgraphs on the Network. February saw significant advancements across user education, subgraph features, tools, and ecosystem growth. Highlights include a host of new supported chains and the release of revamped docs. We also added a brand new segment to the Ecosystem division of the website: check out Events! Among a ton of successful talks and workshops at ETHDenver was an assessment The Graph’s continued redefinition of support in the Web3 landscape. After Helium joined the House of Web3 to benefit from ongoing live collaboration and technical support, other teams like Madvision have recognized the value of basing team members there as well. Looking ahead, we are focused on Horizon integration, continued ecosystem growth, and making piloted flexible billing options a wider reality. Read on for more detail.
Notable February Accomplishments
Engineering
-
Studio & Product Engineering
- Launched a newly redesigned documentation section on The Graph’s website. For easy access to more detailed guidance, developers now also have a handy table of contents to navigate all subgraph examples.
- Published a tool to check a subgraph’s status from your terminal - anyone can install and run it.
- Tightened security on Studio APIs to enhance backend resilience.
- Piloted an update to the Studio billing service, unlocking more flexible billing options.
-
Graph Node
- YAML Parsing in Subgraph Mappings: Added host functions allowing direct parsing of YAML documents within subgraph mappings.
-
Indexer Components
- Added support for four new networks: Zora, Mode, Moonbeam, Rootstock.
- Began using Network Registry as the authoritative source for network IDs and names.
- Given the success of the The Graph Protocol migration from Ethereum to Arbitrum, we removed multi-network support to simplify operations.
-
Protocol
- Presented GIP-0070 to the Council and began planning an MVP for rapid implementation.
- Continued progress on the DIPs smart contracts and initiated audit planning.
- Supporting GraphOps in implementing network subgraph changes.
-
Gateway
- Released Gateway v27.1.0 (release notes) with enhancements such as:
- Inclusion of subgraph ID in reports.
- Update to several Docker-related dependencies.
- Released Gateway v27.1.0 (release notes) with enhancements such as:
Business Development
