Geo February 2024 Update

:woman_astronaut: Summary

We’re continuing our quiet period until launch but will share some updates.

We’ve been continuing conversations to get alignment with core devs on mission and vision. We have several core devs signed up to help with the launch to make the Geo Data Service a success on the network. We want everyone to be part of helping to take The Graph mainstream outside of the existing crypto industry.

:tada: Looking back (what was delivered)

  • Weekly We :purple_heart: SF events
  • Personal spaces are working well now. We have an example of a Nonprofit space for DignityMoves, a nonprofit focused on building transitional housing communities. We’ve added some financials and are working on a sort of score card that people can use to gauge the efficacy of nonprofits.
  • The Social Work space now has a detailed hierarchy of Social Services that can be used to organize nonprofits.
  • As an example we’re now tracking Training Providers in the Workforce Development in SF space.
  • Local Bay Area DAOs are growing
  • A lot of content has been added to the Israel - Palestine and Russia - Ukraine sections in the Defense space
  • Continuing to add a lot of content for US Politics
  • Shared a PRD for what what The Graph’s answer to web3 social could be with core devs. Would love to work with core devs on this MVP.

:rocket: Looking ahead (upcoming priorities)

  • Innovate Bay Area event with top nonprofits in the Bay
  • Streamlining onboarding. We’re almost done with our team member management flow for companies
  • Working toward public launch
  • Integrating governance
