GraphOps Update April 2026

:date: GraphOps Monthly Update - April 2026

:astronaut: Executive Summary

This month, GraphOps delivered several key updates.

On the Substreams Data Service, the team achieved a real flow working end-to-end service against a live Substreams endpoint in the GraphOps cluster. This builds on Marchโ€™s local-runtime milestone, now running against real Substreams components.

On Tycho, the team continued collaboration on go-to-market strategies to bring Tycho to The Graph.

On the Kubernetes Launchpad, the team shipped updated chart releases, added a new reth chart, and rolled out monitoring upgrades across namespaces.

Happy April everyone! :sparkles:

:tada: Looking Back (What Was Delivered)

Substreams Data Service

  • Simplified the MVP around the ingress-only runtime path and removed the deprecated usage-report flow.
  • Hardened the end-to-end payment session lifecycle around low-funds stops, disconnects, and RAV races.
  • Fixed review findings across the sidecar, gateway, plugin, and repository layers.
  • Improved provider-side session handling, auth, quota enforcement, and payment-control behavior.
  • Implemented external services to hook onto existing auth, session and metering firecore plugins for internal usage.
  • Achieved a real end-to-end flow against a live Substreams endpoint in the GraphOps cluster, with a local consumer and testnet contract setup.

Tycho Data Service

  • Continued go-to-market work with The Graph Foundation.

Kubernetes Launchpad (Documentation, Starter, Charts, Namespaces, Taskfiles)

  • Updated chart releases: erigon, graph-node, graph-network-indexer, heimdall-v2 and proxyd.
  • Added a new reth chart.
  • Updated proxyd to v4.27.1 and heimdall-v2 to v0.7.1 in launchpad-charts, ensuring compatibility and boosting protocol management.
  • Pushed major erigon update to v3.4.0 for improved stability and storage efficiency in launchpad-charts.
  • Enhanced monitoring with multiple kube-prometheus-stack upgrades up to v84.5.0 in launchpad-namespaces.
  • Upgraded graph-network-indexer to 0.7.3-canary.5 and graph-node to 0.6.11-canary.1, enhancing feature support and updating image repos in launchpad-namespaces.
