Know Your Indexer #16 | Citadel.One

We are excited to introduce Citadel. One’s team in this week’s “ Know Your Indexer ” segment in its 16th edition.

They are a very active team that are always ready to help the community and new delagators answering any question and doubts regarding the protocol in their different social medias.

Citadel.One team interview

Ghostym:

  1. How did you get into Blockchain? How long have you been running nodes or participating in the blockchain ecosystem?

Citadel. One team: It is a long story. One of our co-founders got into blockchain space back in 2013. It is fair to say that we have been running nodes from the very beginning of PoS, as our first node was a Tezos node launched in September 2018 under the brand Tezocracy. In May 2019 it was transformed into Citadel.one then we started to build our very own non-custodial platform with advanced staking functionality.

Zuni:

  1. What was your first experience with The Graph and why did you choose to participate in The Graph ecosystem?

Citadel. One team: We believe that The Graph is a truly unique project in crypto space. It has a real use case and incredible scope as it can index any network. It is promising to become one of the crucial techs in a blockchain universe. That is why we are very happy to support its development and be a part of the community.

Ghostym:

  1. Did you participate in the Mission Control testnet? How would you describe the experience?

Citadel. One team: Unfortunately, we’ve joined The Graph at the end of the mission control testnet and didn’t have a chance to take part in it.

Zuni:

  1. How many indexers do you currently have in mainnet? Have you thought about adding more indexers in the future?

Citadel. One team: Currently we are supporting 1 indexer in the Mainnet and 5 subgraphs, and surely, we are considering an option to add more in the future.

Ghostym:

  1. Are you currently participating in the current testnet? (If your answer is yes, tell us what is your favorite part of participating in the testnet)

Citadel. One team: No, currently we are not participating in the Testnet, but, we were involved in it previously. Our team is always looking forward to contributing to the Graph, so the best part of it was helping the network to grow.

Zuni:

  1. How do you stay connected with your delegator community?

Citadel. One team: Citadel.one is a user-centric project. We communicate and keep our users, delegators and supporters updated via their most preferred and favourite channels including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and even Weibo. The Graph Protocol is endowed with a special attention from our side. Our community managers attend and participate in most significant events of The Graph life such as webinars and community calls, afterwards providing our delegators with summaries and most interesting/important highlights of the events.
In addition to that Citadel.one Marketing team provides our delegators with most authentic news, metrics reports and infographics.

Ghostym:

  1. How many people from your team are participating in The Graph’s community? Can you share their profiles and give us a brief introduction about their background?

Citadel. One team: We are all excited to follow the progress of Graph, but some of us follow Graph’s community the most. We have Anna Twitter - she is focusing specifically on Graph to provide the relevant support for our delegators (she is always in chats and on community calls). Additionally, our lead DevOps Nikita is using advanced monitoring tools to keep the best tech operation. Citadel.one CMBDO Rina Shtedle Twitter is exploring ways on how Citadel.one can be a great contribution to the Graph Ecosystem (potential collaborations and integrations). Our Head of Community & PR, Vlad Gorlov Twitter, is looking into how we can keep our users up-to-date with new content and educational materials about Graph.

Zuni:

  1. What are you excited about the future of The Graph?

Citadel. One team: At Citadel.one, we are excited about the evolution of the Internet. WEB3 is the next step and we believe that The Graph will play a crucial role in it with its unique opportunity to query the data from various blockchains. Importantly, Graph has a use-case, which is quite a rare case in crypto nowadays. New implementations are coming to the Graph Ecosystem and we can’t wait for it!

Ghostym:

  1. Which blockchain networks are you excited to index for The Graph?

Citadel. One team: Definitely Cosmos and Secret. We think those are the most underrated and underwatched networks in the blockchain space today, as they both have working tech. Cosmos is a Layer 0 solution, and has already launched its IBC, which may be compared to Polkadot substrate tech (still in development).
Secret Network is the first ever privacy-enabled Layer 1 blockchain, featuring privacy-preserving smart contracts which allow encrypted inputs, outputs and state. SCRT is a champion in terms of cross-chain interoperability, as ETH<>SCRT and ETH<>BSC bridges are live, with Terra, Monero and Plasm (Polkadot) in testnet.

Zuni:

  1. Why should delegators choose you?

Citadel. One team: As we’ve mentioned Citadel.one team provides regular updates for the Graph Ecosystem and stays present in the community.

Additionally, we can guarantee the consistent technical setup as we track the stability with special tools: we use Grafana for monitoring of our nodes’ CPU load, uptime, current and missed blocks and random-access memory usage. ELK Stack software for building analytics, errors search, failure mode and effects analysis. Zabbix for hardware, hard disk and memory load monitoring. And Telegram bot that sends notifications if something out of order occurs.

In future, we are planning to integrate Graph into the Citadel.one Crypto SuperApp with advanced non-custodial wallet functionality, analytical dashboard, and built-in dApps.

If you have any questions, we are always ready to provide support for our delegators in chats and via support@citadel.one!
