Meeting

GIPs & Protocol Updates

A participant from Edge & Node discussed GIP-0006, which has been audited and was approved through a Snapshot vote as part of GIPs related to the Arbitration Charter. The participant also discussed in-progress minor fixes, which have also been audited and GIPs have been published to the forums.

A member asked whether the minor fixes were subject to Snapshot polling. The participant stated that one such change was but the others were not given that they are minor, though they have all been published to the forums as proposed GIPs, and discussion about the changes are ongoing.

A member asked whether the participant or other members have any context about the negative votes against some previous Arbitration Charter-related Snapshot polls. The members recognized that the amount of negative votes was very small.

The participant stated that the minor changes will be queued for implementation and will be implemented over the next 2-3 days, subject to any additional comments by the community.

The participant discussed ongoing research on adjusting certain network economic parameters, which are in the process of being audited. Members asked questions about alternate structures for the contemplated adjustments.

The participant left the meeting.

The Foundation director gave an update on core dev grants currently being considered by the Foundation to support core protocol development.
