Welcome to this month in curation May. We’ve had some huge announcements last month, and I’m excited to talk about them!
The first 10 subgraphs migrating to the decentralized network
- 10 Subgraphs have been migrated from the hosted service to the decentralized network. These dApps are taking the next step in becoming fully serverless applications and further decentralizing the Web3 stack. Be sure to read more about the migration and our launch partners here. With this, The Graph’s Migration Path to Mainnet has entered Phase 1.
The Graph Foundation unveils Scalar
- After nearly two years of intense research and development on state channels, The Graph Foundation is excited to unveil a scalable microtransaction system that uses the Connext Vector protocol with the throughput to accommodate The Graph’s growth for years to come. We call it Scalar.
The Graph further expand their multichain support
- The Graph Foundation is excited to announce the Celo blockchain has officially integrated The Graph. Both Celo and the Alfajores testnet is currently live on The Graph’s hosted service. Read our announcement here.
- We have added support for the Moonbeam Testnet on Polkadot, Moonbase Alpha. Read Moonbeams announcement here.
Join The Graph’s Community on the third Graph Protocol Townhall, happening May 4th. 8am PST / 17:00 CEST
Each month we bring on an expert subgraph developer for our “Developer Highlights”. They will share their experience building on The Graph. We will do deep dives into specific features or tooling used for subgraph development. This will be of great value to both beginner and experienced subgraph developers.
We just released the video for Developer Highlights #2 . We got to speak with Sebastian Siemssen and Ivan Herger from Enzyme Finance. They have been building and improving upon Enzyme`s subgraphs for more than two years. The results are impressive - a set of truly ambitious subgraphs. Both beginners and experienced subgraph developers will have a lot to learn from their journey. We are looking at:
- Smart contract design
- Schema design
- Avoiding Fatal Errors
